Alvin Lee starts 1988 with Alvin Lee Band but a series of summer festivals with Ten Years After leads to an extensive reuinion with the band that continues until 1991. Alvin also joins the Night of the Guitars tour in November 1988.

There are technical problems with the stage monitors during the first four numbers and Alvin is not very pleased. Alvin says, “you may be able to hear us, but we can’t – aren’t we lucky”. As a result, more instrumentals fills are played and Alvin does a fierce solo during “Slow Blues In C”.
